Dale Kennedy, Chairman

Dale is a Dentist in Athens, TN. Just this year he was promoted to Chairman of the DPWC, after having served for many years. Dale is very active in his practice, and enjoys time with his family and serving at church.


Nadim Jubran, Treasure

Nadim practices in Maryville, TN with over 30 years of providing total dental care since 1987. He has served as President on the State of Tennessee Board of Dentistry, and is a member of the ADA, TDA, and 2nd District Dental Society. Dr. Jubran volunteers for Remote Area Medical, and Interfaith Clinic of Knoxville, to name a few, to provide dental care to those in need.

 


MaryLou Simpson, Secretary

MaryLou’s career started in 1973 as a CDA for many years, continuing on to Dental Hygiene, graduating from RSCC in 1994. She has had a long and prestigious career in dental hygiene and is still actively involved today. MaryLou has served on our Wellness Committee since 2000. MaryLou believes we are never too old to learn. She believes in helping others, and most of all, to pay it forward. Her hobbies & interests are gardening, growing roses, clogging, and Southern Gospel music. She enjoys traveling with her husband Jim and spending time at their Florida home.


Coley Ramsey

Dr. Coley RamseyColey has been practicing since 2001. He and his wife have two daughters that keep them busy. He values the interaction with his patients and strives to keep them on the cusp of conventional dental care. He is a avid lover of fast pitch softball and football. His philosophy: “Hard work becomes easy when work becomes your play”


Angela Burns

Dr. Angela BurnsAngie, a middle Tennessee native, practices in Tellico Village, a retirement community just outside of Knoxville, TN. She has practiced along side her father (a former member of this esteemed committee) for over 24 years.
Angie has served as the president of the Second District Dental Society. She is a fellow in the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Dentists. She is a member of the ADA, TDA, and is also a graduate of the world renowned Kois Center for Dental Excellence in Seattle, Washington.

Outside of her practice Angie enjoys spending time with family, friends ,boating on Norris Lake, scuba diving in various locations in the Caribbean, and following The Tennessee Volunteers football team.


David Tiner                                                                                                                                               

After nearly 20 years of practicing dentistry, a personal crisis led Dr. Tiner to embark on a new journey. His desires to understand how things worked expanded to include the realm of the emotions, the realm of the heart. He primarily works with individuals or couples struggling with addiction, life trauma or marriage and family problems. He has extensive training in shame, internal family system and Eye Movement Desensitivity and Reprocessing. David served three years active duty in the U.S. Navy and seven years in the U.S. Naval Active Reserves as a dental officer.


Phil Herndon, Vice Chairman  

Phil works with individuals who have lost their way through addiction, anxiety, depression, struggles with spirituality, or burnout to walk them through the tumultuous and scary times that are so common to the human experience.

                                                                                                                                

William “Bill” High 

Dr. William High Graduated from University of Tennessee Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. Graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham school of dentistry in 1976 and a residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1979. Dr. High practiced in the field of dentistry for 45 years and was held in high esteem in the industry. Dr. High is known for being both professional and personable. He has been affiliated with the University of Tennessee Medical Center as faculty until retirement in 2022. Currently he continues to serve at UTMC as part time faculty.

 

Staley Colvert

Staley is a native Middle Tennessean and a 1981 graduate of UT College of Dentistry. He was in private practice in Alabama for 34 years where he owned and operated 5 offices. After heart surgery in 2015, he returned to UT to fulfill a dream and tech Dentistry. Currently he is an associate professor, a group leader, and vice chair of the Department of General Dentistry. Also he is course director of the Practice Management class taught to the seniors. Mainly, he instructs the D3 and D4 students in the clinic as they treat patients. In his spare time he makes stained glass windows.

 

Brett Orr

Graduated from  of UT Memphis College of Dentistry in 2010. He is the Dentist/Practice owner of Affordable Dentures/Implants in Knoxville Tennessee. Dr. Orr has been married to his wife Spring for fourteen years. He has one son, who attends Carson Newman University. His hobbies include fishing and golfing.

Kenan Clinton                                                                                                                                         

Kenan Clinton was born and raised in Tupelo, MS. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Upon graduating from UT Dental School here in Memphis he went on to specialize in Endodontics at UAB. He opened his private dental practice in 2004. He and his wife, Brandi, have 4 children, Blake, Avery, Stella, and Jake.
Dr. Clinton is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Memphis Dental Society, and the American Association of Endodontists. In 2008 he received the Jack E. Wells Memorial Award for Outstanding Young Dentist from the Memphis Dental Society. In his spare time he enjoys football, cooking, and traveling. He is currently training to get his private pilot license.

 

Jim Cade

Dr. James Cade graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and                                    received his dental degree, DDS, in 1979 from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences College of Dentistry. He earned a Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from the Emory University School of Dentistry in 1982. From 1982 – 2006 (23 years)Dr. Cade was appointed to the faculty at the LSU School of Dentistry (LSUSD) in the Department of Oral Diagnosis/Medicine/Radiology in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Cade’s last position at LSUSD was interim department chairman and held the rank of tenured professor for 10 years. After Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Cade and his wife, Barbara, moved to Tennessee to be close to their    family. He joined Honeycutt Family Dentistry in Manchester, Tennessee in March 2006
practicing General Dentistry and Oral Medicine. He joined the faculty of the Meharry Medical
College, School of Dentistry in January 2016 and currently serves as an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences. Dr. Cade is a retired Colonel in the Tennessee Army National Guard and served over three decades in the Army Reserve and National Guard. Dr. Cade is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Cade is married with four children and eleven grandchildren.

 

 

Dan Meadows                                                                                                                                     

Dr. Dan Meadows was born and raised in Memphis. He attended the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville, receiving a BA in 1976. Subsequently, he attended the University of Tennessee
College of Dentistry and received a DDS in 1978. He entered private practice in Memphis in 1979. He also served as a part time instructor at UTCHS in the departments of Operative Dentistry (1979-83) and Endodontics (1990-91).  He served in all the offices of the Memphis Dental Society, including president. He is presently a member of the Second District Dental Society. He has served as a Delegate and on several committees of the Tennessee Dental Association and was Vice President-West Tennessee. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He is a recipient of the TDA Fellowship Award as well as The Memphis Dental Society
Humanitarian Award. He is a Fellow in The American College of Dentists as well as the
International College of Dentists. He served on the Tennessee Board of Dentistry from 2013-2021, serving as president from
2018-2021. He is currently an examiner for CDCA-WREB-CITA and serves on their Steering Committee. He has been on multiple dental mission trips and has been active with the Mid South MOM. He has served on various community, educational and philanthropic boards. He received a MA from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Ms. in 2009. He is active in his church, having served as an Elder and teacher. He has been married to Amy since 1976. He has three daughters, a son-in-law and step granddaughter.
Dr. Meadows retired form private practice and spends his time with family and friends as well as reading, hiking, cycling and photography. He currently resides in Townsend, Tennessee.
